RABBI: “Stop Equating Every Immigration Situation with the Holocaust!”

Stop Equating Every Immigration Situation with the Holocaust!

Rabbi Aryeh Spero – Spectator.Org

During the past two years when liberal groups disagreed with President Trump on a particular immigration situation, they tried justifying their position by comparing the plight of the refugee or immigrant to that of victims of the Holocaust. Just recently, Representative-elect from the Bronx Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez equated the plight of the Caravan people to that of the Jews in the 1940s trying to escape the Holocaust and attempting to sail to America. It was similarly brought up two years ago when tens of thousands of Muslims leaving Syria toward the United States were met by a President who wanted to place a ceiling on how many could enter and who rightfully demanded they be vetted comprehensively, as opposed to what had previously been rather perfunctory and easy questioning.

And, of course, a few months ago, when children were placed in clean and pleasant housing away from their parents during their parents’ appearances before immigration judges, we heard the refrain about Concentration Camp guards separating parents from children. However, none of the Jewish children forcibly seized from their mothers and fathers at Auschwitz saw their parents again. They were murdered in the gas chambers. Well, at least that’s what I heard in the early 1950s back in Cleveland from the mouths of mothers who survived the War.

In contrast, the immigrant children from Mexico last year were quickly reunited with their parents, and during their away-time found nurses and doctors, playmates and games, a gym, wholesome food and clean bedding, and probably more personal medical care than they had ever received before. Comparisons to the Holocaust are fundamentally wrong and a dishonor to the six million Jews who were rounded up from their homes and put on trains to be tortured or murdered.

Not remotely comparable

Even for those on the Left who have made it their mission to destroy President Trump, it seems vile to do it on the backs of the Six Million. The question needs to be asked: Who has brainwashed and poisoned the minds of so many against their fellow Americans, the President, Republicans, as well as employees of ICE? How is it that so many Americans on the Left believe their own countrymen would act like guards at Concentration Camps? How can so many (including Jews on the radical Left) knowingly lie and demean the Holocaust-martyred just to score political points against President Trump? Well, political leftism, like communism, often takes hold of its adherents in a fervor that invariably ignores reality, propriety, and even decency.

As before, some on the political left will once again in the future compare the immigrants from Syria to the Jews who faced the Holocaust. But, Jews were targeted as Jews for concentration camps and actual physical extinction. The Syrians are not being targeted because they are Muslims, nor is there a Final Solution planned for them as was the case for European Jewry. In Syria, Muslims are fighting Muslims as part of a civil war. Civil wars unfortunately happen; whereas the planned destruction of an entire people, as was the plan by Germany against the Jews world-wide, was a once-in-history phenomenon.

A U.S. President must always consider national security threats when pondering immigration. Back in the 1940s, there were no Nazi agents embedded within the Jews fleeing the Holocaust, nor did any of the Jews harbor a cultural or religious ideology wishing and planning physical destruction or terrorism on the American people. There were no rabbis in the 1930s sending forth fatwas to their followers to destroy the infidel and usurp our Constitution by implanting shariah law. One has to only look at the frightening consequences of uncontrolled Syrian immigration into Europe during the last two years to see the undeniable consequences of an immigrant mass from the Crescent containing a high level of shariah advocates and a threatening level of jihadists. Not all, of course; but an unusually high percentage warranting our need to think of our own safety and self-defense.

Indeed, the completely innocent Jews of Europe had nowhere to go — there was not yet a State of Israel — whereas there are 57 Islamic states, many exceedingly wealthy, who could and should be offering safe haven to their Islamic brothers. Members of the Caravan were offered residency in Mexico and, in fact, are not being driven out of Honduras. They have somewhere where to go.

If there is genocide parallel today, it involves the Christians of the Middle East and North Africa who have been targets of Muslim genocide against them. Hundreds of thousands have been killed, raped and tortured during the last two decades, yet those championing immigration have been silent regarding the need for havens for Christians being massacred by Islamic warlords. Certainly, no reference to the Holocaust has been made in their behalf.

In fact, former President Obama moralized about “not using a religious litmus test” to cynically over-weight Muslim immigration while severely undercutting and ignoring Christian refugees begging to be rescued from the Islamic jihad against them. Perhaps Mr. Obama’s empathy lies more with Islam than Christianity; perhaps the future of the Democrats lies more in bringing in the type of immigrant that will more likely vote Democrat and play a more eager role in reshaping our culture away from its original paradigm and values.

When growing up, I saw men and women, survivors of the Holocaust, who had numbers branded into their arms. No one in today’s Caravan is remotely in such a situation. They are not being hunted down nor targeted for death and extinction. Many are part of a worldwide leftist effort, an invasion as it were, to challenge the whole concept of national sovereignty, of borders under the control of individual governments, and are trying to undercut and humiliate President Trump. Many are Antifa-like thugs waiting to beat up people. Do we need that?

The first duty of an American President is to ensure the safety of America’s citizens and enact measures for self-defense. Given that among the Caravan are unacceptable percentages of known criminals, gang members, agents of drug lords, some jihadists, and carriers of diseases and other threats to our families, the President is acting morally and courageously doing his duty. We have long needed a leader who put America’s families first over personal feel-goodism, virtue-signaling, and globalism. Scripture does not advocate national suicide and speaks of the blessings of protected borders.

Minnesota: Muslim workers at Amazon demand longer prayer times, less work

Minnesota: Muslim workers at Amazon demand longer prayer times, less work

Amazon has banned Jihad Watch from Amazon Smile and Amazon Associates, but its aid to jihadis has not led to its being accorded any breaks by its Muslim workers.

“Amazon says it has offered accommodations such as providing prayer mats for workers, converting a conference room into prayer space during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and approving shift transfers for fasting workers.”

But it isn’t enough.

“The workers, many of whom are practicing Muslims, say the required productivity rate is too high, the company is unconcerned about worker injuries and that the conditions don’t allow practicing Muslims to pray as they otherwise would.”

The idea is to reinforce the principle, already established in other cases, that Muslims must always have special privileges and accommodations that others do not have. This is true now at Amazon unless non-Muslim workers get time off work equal to the prayer breaks that Muslims are given. Islamic law denies non-Muslims basic rights; only Muslims enjoy full rights in an Islamic society. To establish a similar situation in the U.S. is the ultimate goal here.

“Somali-American Amazon workers demand better conditions,” by Kerem Yucel and Nova Safo, AFP, December 15, 2018 (thanks to Mark):

A group of Amazon workers in Minnesota who are Somali refugees resettled in the Midwestern US state demanded better working conditions Friday during a protest outside one of the retailer’s warehouses.

Hundreds braved frigid temperatures to demonstrate outside of the Amazon warehouse in the Minneapolis suburb of Shakopee—home to a sizable Somali immigrant population from which Amazon has heavily recruited….

“We don’t have rights in the company,” worker Abdulkadir Ahmad, 30, told AFP.

The workers, many of whom are practicing Muslims, say the required productivity rate is too high, the company is unconcerned about worker injuries and that the conditions don’t allow practicing Muslims to pray as they otherwise would.

“We do not have enough time to pray. There is a lot of pressure. They say your rate is too low,” Ahmad said.

The workers timed their protest during the busy holiday shopping season, hoping to force the online retailer to make changes.

Amazon’s accommodations

They already have had some success. Amazon says it has offered accommodations such as providing prayer mats for workers, converting a conference room into prayer space during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and approving shift transfers for fasting workers.

“Additionally, we’ve continued to hire and develop East African employees. We’re a leader in this space and we feel really good about our record here,” Amazon spokeswoman Shevaun Brown told AFP via email….

But workers say Amazon’s efforts so far have fallen short.

“We are appreciative they’ve sat down and talked with us, but we are not seeing real action,” activist Abdi Muse said.

Muse is the executive director of the Awood Center, a union-backed non-profit that organized the protest and helps East African workers in the state….

“When workers leave Amazon, they still live with the back pain, chronic illness, and hurt and harm caused during their employment,” said Ahmed Anshur, the imam at the Al-Ihsan Islamic Center in the nearby state capital of Saint Paul.

Protesters said they want the multibillion-dollar company to give back to the struggling community that has been a major source of its workforce in the Minneapolis area by giving money to a community fund to help struggling immigrant families.

“It’s not a handout or a donation,” said Mohamed Omar, imam at another Minneapolis suburban mosque….

Of course not. Why, who would think such a thing?

FBI defies subpoena for docs on its raid on Uranium One whistleblower

__ _____________________ __

The Deep State now is publicly baring its fangs at us, laughing at ineffective attempts to hold it accountable for abuse and worse.  I hate to be alarmist, but we have police agencies misbehaving and then destroying the evidence and refusing to cooperate with constitutional oversight functions.  Just in the last couple of days, we have learned that critical form 302 records were altered months after they were first created regarding the FBI interview upon which General Michael Flynn was prosecuted.  And we learned that the Special Counsel’s Office of Robert Mueller scrubbed access to the text messages of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the texting blabbermouths who revealed the D.S. “insurance policy” in the event Trump won the presidency.

And now we know that the FBI is flouting a congressional subpoena for documents that would explain why it raided the home of a whistleblower in the Uranium One case.  (Readers may recall that that case, implicating Secretary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, was prosecuted by Rod Rosenstein, then the U.S. attorney in Baltimore, and investigated by James Comey’s FBI.)

Gregg Re of Fox News explains the FBI’s obstruction of oversight – in other words, its declaration that it is above the law and not accountable to Congress investigating what looks like abuse of a whistleblower who is embarrassing the Bureau.

The Justice Department and FBI have missed a Wednesday deadline to provide information about the government’s mysterious raid on a former FBI contractor-turned-whistleblower’s home last month.

Sixteen FBI agents on Nov. 19 raided the home of Dennis Nathan Cain, who reportedly gave the Justice Department’s Inspector General (IG) documents related to the Uranium One controversy and potential wrongdoing by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The documents in question allegedly showed that federal officials failed to investigate possible criminal activity related to Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and Rosatom, a Russian nuclear company.  Its subsidiary purchased Canadian mining company Uranium One in 2013.

The remedy to this outrageous defiance ought to be prosecution.  But the Department of Justice can stonewall and refuse to prosecute.

An unaccountable police agency?  “What, me worry?” seems to be the attitude of the media and Democrats.

Music While You Gear Up for Christmas

A little Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit while shopping, putting up your Christmas tree, decorations and lights.  Enjoy.

Please also remember, thank and pray for our men and women in service who will spend this Christmas holiday away from our shores, away from their families.

It would not be Christmas without one of my favorites. (Actually, it would be so enjoy and here’s wish you blessings and a Merry Christmas to you and yours.)

I Go Into The Desert Wilderness And Meet More Millennials (They LIVE).

It was such a nice day here in the wilds of New Mexico—48* and partly cloudy— that I took an excursion out to the high desert volcanoes on the West Mesa.

Essentially this is a kinda set-aside, wilderness area with seven DORMANT volcanoes. Zillions of years ago, these same volcanoes actually formed the West Mesa, which has a 250 foot high escarpment that borders the north-south, Rio Grande flood plain.

The volcano peaks are at about 7500 feet above sea level. Albuquerque is about 5400 feet above sea level.

The West Mesa was the site of the infamous West Mesa Murders.

The West Mesa Murders refer to the remains of 11 women found buried in 2009 in the desert on the West Mesa of Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. No suspects have been arrested and a serial killer is believed to be responsible. (Wikipedia.org)

That’s what Democrat-ruled New Mexico, and Albuquerque, are like these days. Albuquerque has a population of about 500K people but is  one of the deadliest cities in America. This is reportedly because of the many Trump supporters, Amish, angry white people, and other Deplorables that have apparently flooded the area, from the south.

Anyways, there I was in the clear, silent Open Spaces, hiking along, totally alone, nothing to see Anywhere, all around. But, in the distance there appeared the figure of a lone person walking toward me on the same dirt path. As this figure got closer and closer I realized it was a male in his early 20’s.

“They Live” – John Carpenter, 1988 – Universal Pictures

This Millennial finally walks right past me without even looking at me. I mean—picture two small dots in the middle of a great circle of horizon…wilderness. Okay? Nothing, zilch, no sign.

As he goes TOTALLY, heedlessly past me, I see he is wearing saggy jeans, and earphones plugged into a smartphone. He is tapping something into the phone and his eyes are fixated on it like lasers. He never looks at me; he never says a word.

Okay. So I hike the volcanoes for a few hours and ultimately make my way tiredly back to the car. I’m in my 70s, but I feel good.

It’s important to stay hydrated here in New Mexico, so I am drinking water I have carried into the desert, and also keep lots of it in the car.  I am able to remember and pronounce, “Carman Diaz” and “turmeric,” so that means I’m not dehydrated. I’m okay.

I know where there’s a Chinese takeout place and decide to risk Cultural Appropriation, and maybe even the wrath of Twitter, by getting some egg fu yong.

So I’m driving along this wilderness highway where the speed limit is 45. I am going faster than that. But, I am getting passed at MASSIVE speeds by cars and trucks piloted by Millennial-looking, young people. None of them use turn signals. None of them use the horn, or anything. Several are plugged into smart phones and tapping them as they pass me.

They blast by at maybe 70 miles an hour. There I am toddling along at a brisk clip faster than the posted speed limit, but I guess they don’t want to go that slow. But, where a Millennial might be in a hurry to get to, I don’t know.

I finally get to the Chinese place, and go inside. It’s hot in there from the kitchen.

The Millennial young woman behind the counter wears a sweatshirt and has the sleeves pulled down to cover her hands. She’s hanging onto the ends of the sleeves as if they are saving her from drowning, and looks cold. Her nose, ears, face, and eyebrows are pierced and look infected. She is wearing ear buds and they are plugged into a smartphone which NEVER leaves her hands.

She does not look at me but takes my order. Her expression is boredom verging on maybe anger. I ask if she is cold and she says yes, and pulls her hands into the sleeves like they are turtle heads.

But she never looks at me. I am sweating from heat at this point. I can’t imagine why her body apparently can’t handle temperature control.

I dunno.

Anyways, I get my order, take it home, lay it out, and when I turn my back for three seconds, the dog tears into my egg fu yong.

But I had a good time and a good walk on the Mesa, despite the eleven Murders, and the volcanoes only being dormant and not extinct, and the presence of Millennials.

And I learned more about Millennials on my excusion, and how not to talk, look, or respond to one.

I learned to have ZERO hope they will ever be trustworthy enough to inherit and run a great country, like America used to be.

Like America once was. In my living memory.

A vanished Golden Age, flush with fresh victory of having saved the world forever from fascism, Nazism, and Islam.
