[...] Last week, I featured the Monkees’ “Daydream Believer.” “Daydream Believer” was written by John Stewart. Stewart had been a member of the Kingston Trio (though he joined late, well after Tom Dooley, which was based on true story), but later had a hit with Gold. As with some other songs on his comeback album, “Gold” was backed by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. So too was “Midnight Wind.” “Midnight Wind” is like Billy Joel’s “Only the good die young,” but without the snarkiness. You Beauty Queens come on so clean But you’re, you’re missing all the fun [...]
