Exposure: When Democracy Does Not Count

This weeks submissions come at a time when Democracy is under attack from the usual suspects in the activist community. Gays across the nation have been protesting in angry, sometimes violent, hate filled demonstrations over their displeasure with the Prop 8 Constitutional amendment banning gay marriages. Advocates in favor of redefining marriage have shunned the democratic process as they seek familiar relief by shopping for activist judges to overturn the will of the people.

Speaking of weasels, retiring Senator Chuck Hagel continued paving the way for liberals in Republican disguise by lashing out at the Bush administration and conservative talk radio hosts such as Rush Limbaugh. Speaking for the rest of the Watcher’s Council I wish Mr. Hagel all the best in hoping for a quiet obscure retirement alongside Ted Stevens and other “moderates” that have failed the Republican Party base in way too many ways to count. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Never fear though, there are plenty of weasels left to write a about as demonstrated by this week’s entries that were hand picked by our council members.
