By: Mike McDaniel Years ago I wrote a series of articles outlining a rationale for gun ownership. It was well received. Times and the political climate are ever-changing, but the compelling reasons human beings need firearms never change. One can easily argue those needs have never been more urgent, and more and more Americans, including those that have never before considered becoming gun owners–including progressives–are buying arms in incredible numbers. New monthly and yearly records for federally required background checks–each one signaling the purchase of one or more guns–are being regularly set.
Since that initial series, I’ve expanded the number and scope of those writings, and now, in 2016, with a presidential election that will have significant consequences for the future of America and of the Second Amendment only a few weeks away, it’s time to add a bit more. I’ll post these updated articles in sequence every Tuesday for the foreseeable future.
