From day one it has always been about Hillary Clinton and last night was no different as Clinton’s supporters and staffers waited several hours inside the Jacob Javits Center, where Clinton’s victory party was scheduled in New York City watching the election results on the huge screen above, confused and bewildered as the results poured in state after state.
Shortly after 2 a.m., Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta, finally arrived at the victory party and walked to the podium alone.
Clinton herself in a major show of disrespect for her bewildered, depressed and tearful supporters could not be bothered to show. It was either that or the past few weeks and the upset of the night was taking its toll.
At the time, I believe that Donald Trump had already accrued 272 (or 274) electoral votes taking Trump over the top to Clinton’s 218.
Even though the Associated Press was the first to call the election followed by other news outlets, cable network news withstanding, Podesta, on Clinton’s behalf refused to concede. Instead, he told the audience to go home that the ballot boxes were still being stuffed, correction the ballots were still being counted.

That’s rich considering that during the third presidential debate, Trump was asked if he would concede should Clinton win the election.
During the third presidential debate, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was challenged as to whether he would accept the results of the election if he lost. (He had already answered that question in the affirmative in the first debate.) When he left the question open, Democrats and media critics suggested that his position was a threat to American democracy.
Clinton campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri said at the time: “How dangerous and frightening is that? It’s certainly unprecedented. It’s certainly disturbing.”
Now, however, the tables have been turned. With virtually no path to victory, Clinton not only refused to concede, but refused to appear.
At the Trump victory party at the New York Midtown Hilton, supporters of the Republican nominee booed Podesta and chanted, “Lock her up!”
It was the understanding Clinton’s supporters and volunteers courtesy of Clinton propagandists that their candidate would wipe the floor with Donald Trump. The exact opposite happened as they followed the incoming results and refusal of the mainstream media refuse to accept the coming defeat.
