href="http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/95626/">Instapundit.

Palin’s admirers often marvel at how the charges leveled against her are far more applicable to the current President. People who voted for an undistinguished junior senator from Illinois with few accomplishments are quick to assault Palin’s “lack of experience.” The same folks who instruct us that Barack Obama is a physical paragon, and Michelle Obama is the most beautiful woman in the world – a goddess who causes fashion models to slink from her path in shame – belittle Palin for her good looks. Defenders of the most fabulously corrupt administration in modern history mumble about the murky details of obscure “scandals” manufactured by Alaskan bloggers. They turn away from the sad spectacle of a manifestly incompetent President to sneer that a woman who alters the course of legislative battles with blog posts is some kind of an idiot.
They dismiss Going Rogue as “ghost written” while ignoring the specter of Bill Ayers plodding through Obama’s books, a sputtering bomb clutched in its skeletal fingers. A few lines scribbled on Palin’s palm glow more brightly in their imaginations than terabytes of data flowing across the screen of Obama’s teleprompter. They accuse Palin of being a “divisive” and “polarizing” figure, while Obama launches Taxi Driver rants against evil insurance companies, cops acting stupidly, tonsil-stealing doctors, and everyone else who crosses his path.
I used to dismiss these contradictions as simply hypocrisy, but perhaps these people are angry at Palin because of her perceived similarities to Barack Obama, not in spite of them. They need someplace to ground the lightning of their frustration and disappointment, and they’re not allowed to be angry at Obama.

It’s a clever observation, but how does he account for this visceral hatred of Sarah Palin even before Barack Obama served a day in office? Consider the Washington Post’s endorsement of Barack Obama, which stated:

And we find no way to square his professed passion for America’s national security with his choice of a running mate who, no matter what her other strengths, is not prepared to be commander in chief.

But as Don Surber pointed out way back:

Democrats nominated an inexperienced but cute senator who won’t just be a heartbeat from the presidency; he will be the heartbeat.

The Sen. Obama’s lack of experience didn’t give the Post’s editors pause, but Gov. Palin’s lack of experience was used to Sen. McCain’s detriment. Maybe the anti-Palin crowd is expressing its frustration with the President, but it isn’t the only dynamic going on.

A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks. Most importantly the financial markets continue their steady decline despite attempts by the U.S. government to commit the largest power grab in the nation’s history.

Despite pumping nearly a trillion dollars of taxpayer money into the middle of a blazing fire not 1 person has been indicted, no independent investigator has been assigned and few in power have the desire to hold anyone accountable. Worse, the pork laden bailout failed to alleviate concerns with confidence and did not open up tightly locked credit. Both of which are critical if the world global markets are going to stop the skid that is occurring at this very moment.

Meanwhile the excesses continue. AIG lavished insurance executives with a $443,000 weeklong stay at the St. Regis Monarch Bay resort and spa before the ink was even dry on the $85 Billion dollar loan that will be paid for by American taxpayers. Adding insult to injury, the New York Federal Reserve has agreed to “lend” AIG an additional $37.8 Billion dollars a mere three weeks after the first figure was agreed upon. Experts are skeptical that AIG will be able to sell their assets in the midst of a credit crunch. The American taxpayers loses again.

The U.S. government isn’t even close to being done with their thrift store purchases. Student loans are in the cross hairs, an increase on the pork laden $850 Billion dollar bailout is being mulled, the government is looking to reduce the principle on existing home mortgages and an undefined group of “wealthy people” are facing the prospect a tax code rewrite that will negate their 401k’s tax exempt status. Healthcare and credit card debt loom on the horizon.

Meanwhile on the election front the media is being dragged kicking and screaming to ask Barack Obama about his relationship with unrepentant terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Most of them used the opportunity to allow Barack Obama and his handlers to spew talking points, rarely if ever met by a follow up question, satisfied to buy the line that Obama didn’t know of Ayers terrorist past or that Ayers was now a reformed educator.

This is the week that was. During that time the Watchers Council diligently scoured over a score of article and came up with a list of winning articles that takes on the established narrative by those that are supposedly paid to be objective.

Please read these very important articles:

<a

After lowering expectations for Barack Obama’s debate with John McCain the media tried to convince Americans that a tie for their hero somehow translated to a win.

Conversely the media called the “election over” prior to Palin’s appearance on the big screen with Sir Gaffalot Joe Biden. While the narrative is that Palin did good but Biden won (insert laughter here) Obama’s water carriers in the media are starting to look foolish.

Meanwhile the House is going to vote on a financial bailout plan that grew from a couple of pages to 451 pages overnight. Not content to simply concentrate on the economy the Senate wedged in a <a

Despite their best efforts Barack Obama continues sliding in the polls.

Perhaps the most bizarre example of the mainstream media meltdown was the decision by The Atlantic magazine to hire deranged celebutard photographer Jill Greenberg for a cover story on John McCain. Being a deranged lefty affords Greenberg some perks, such as shooting McCain with camera angles designed to make him look tired and old (shadow trickery done for horror movie like shoots). The topper was when she exposed her idiocy by bragging about the whole scheme to some fan sites and then took outtakes from the shoot and published them on her personal site complete with a monkey (chimp) defecating on John McCain’s head among other photoshopped ignoramity. (probably not a real world but I submit that it should be)

Keep in mind that these are the people that make up Barack Obama’s voting base. Nice. Talk about weasels.

Sadly Greenberg is only one weasel in a world filled with them. The Watchers council has submitted a collection of articles that is sure to thrill weasel watchers the world over. Enjoy.

Council Submissions

Cheat-Seeking Missiles – <a
