Ways to challenge Progressives’ demands for confiscatory taxes

When it comes to confiscatory taxes, up-and-coming Progressive politicians are honest in their desires, but dishonest or misinformed about their facts.

I’m developing quite the soft spot for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It’s not that I think she’s either intelligent or that her ideas are good. To the contrary, I find her somewhat stupid, astonishingly ill-informed, and ideologically dangerous. Still, Ocasio-Cortez she has a singular virtue which we need to recognize, and that is the fact that she speaks honestly about Progressive goals, all of which are imaginary unicorns, and the way in which Progressives believe they can harness those unicorns. So it was that, on 60 Minutes, Ocasio-Cortez spoke freely about her desire to use her government position to enact confiscatory taxes:

‘You look at our tax rates back in the ’60s, and when you have a progressive tax-rate system, your tax rate, let’s say, from $0 to $75,000 may be 10% or 15%, etc. But once you get to the tippy tops, on your 10 millionth dollar, sometimes you see tax rates as high as 60% or 70%.’

Perhaps worried about being associated too strongly with Venezuela, which went from one of Latin America’s most profitable countries to one of the poorest countries in the world thanks to socialist policies, Ocasio-Cortez insists that her dreams are limited to having America copy the wonders of socialist Sweden:

Anderson Cooper: When people hear the word socialism, they think Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela. Is that what you have in mind?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Of course (LAUGH) not. What we have in mind— and what of my— and my policies most closely re— resemble what we see in the U.K., in Norway, in Finland, in Sweden.

Julian Castro, Obama’s House and Urban Development secretary and current Democrat presidential hopeful, thinks a 70% tax rate is for pikers. While he ostensibly supports Ocasio-Cortez’s 70% top marginal rate proposal, he seems to believe that confiscatory taxes can – and should — go even higher:

“There was a time in this country where the top marginal tax rate was over 90 percent, even during Reagan’s era in the 1980s it was around 50 percent” the former mayor of San Antonio, Texas, said.

Castro also floated “that we get more serious about making sure the corporations pay their fair share,” so the country can fund policy programs like “Medicare-for-All,” as well as universal pre-kindergarten and higher education.

“During this campaign, if I run, I’m going to be very up front with the American people on how we would do that because I think that they are owed that, but it is worth it. It is worth it in this country for us to do that,” he said, vowing not to be “a single issue candidate.”

Before I get to the facts, as opposed to the fantasies, that drive those two hard-Left, attractive, young Hispanic politicians (be afraid, be very afraid), I want to make just a few points about that whole “fair share” thing:

First, “fair share” is an entirely subjective standard, so the phrase is meaningless political waffle.

Second, in a free country the government should not create a sliding scale determining what is fair for some but not fair for others.

Third, if you want “fair,” a flat tax makes sense. Everyone should pay 10% or, alternatively, there should be a flat 10% tax on all goods except for food. Everyone will pay at least a little, but the rich will pay a lot — and without wiggling out through clever tax dodges.

Fourth, as a subset issue related to that 10% tax idea, I hate the way people conflate percentages with fixed values. I was raised to tip service providers 15%. With inflation, people started saying, “We have to tip them 20%.” It was impossible to explain to the ones advocating this 20% rate that percentages are always proportionately the same. You don’t need to raise them as prices go up, because the 15% amount automatically increases with the inflationary price adjustments. If a 10% tax is a fair rate, it should be fair for everyone.

Fifth, when discussing taxes, we need to discuss those who currently don’t pay, as well as those who pay disproportionately. I believe everyone who votes should have skin in the game. This leads to two proposals: Either everyone pays something (perhaps that 10% flat tax or a 10% flat sales tax) or those Americans who pay nothing (the takers, not the payers), don’t get to vote.

Okay, now back to Castro’s and Ocasio-Cortez’s honestly expressed opinions about taxing the rich. As to those, I have three points to touch upon:

First, Ocasio-Cortez, who is wrong about so many things, is wrong insofar as she believes Sweden is a socialist economy. It is not. John Stossel provides a very lucid analysis, some of which I’ll quote here:

“Sweden is not socialist – because the government doesn’t own the means of production. To see that, you have to go to Venezuela or Cuba or North Korea,” says [Swedish historian Johan] Norberg.

“We did have a period in the 1970s and 1980s when we had something that resembled socialism: a big government that taxed and spent heavily. And that’s the period in Swedish history when our economy was going south.”

Per capita GDP fell. Sweden’s growth fell behind other countries. Inflation increased.

Even socialistic Swedes complained about the high taxes.

Astrid Lindgren, author of the popular Pippi Longstocking children’s books, discovered that she was losing money by being popular. She had to pay a tax of 102 percent on any new book she sold.

“She wrote this angry essay about a witch who was mean and vicious – but not as vicious as the Swedish tax authorities,” says Norberg.

Yet even those high taxes did not bring in enough money to fund Sweden’s big welfare state.

“People couldn’t get the pension that they thought they depended on for the future,” recounts Norberg. “At that point the Swedish population just said, enough, we can’t do this.”

Sweden then reduced government’s role.

They cut public spending, privatized the national rail network, abolished certain government monopolies, eliminated inheritance taxes and sold state-owned businesses like the maker of Absolut vodka.

They also reduced pension promises “so that it wasn’t as unsustainable,” adds Norberg.

As a result, says Norberg, his “impoverished peasant nation developed into one of the world’s richest countries.”

He acknowledges that Sweden, in some areas, has a big government: “We do have a bigger welfare state than the U.S., higher taxes than the U.S., but in other areas, when it comes to free markets, when it comes to competition, when it comes to free trade, Sweden is actually more free market.”

Sweden’s free market is not burdened by the U.S.’s excessive regulations, special-interest subsidies and crony bailouts. That allows it to fund Sweden’s big welfare programs.

“Today our taxes pay for pensions – you (in the U.S.) call it Social Security – for 18-month paid parental leave, government-paid childcare for working families,” says Norberg.

But Sweden’s government doesn’t run all those programs. “Having the government manage all of these things didn’t work well.”

So they privatized.

“We realized in Sweden that with these government monopolies, we don’t get the innovation that we get when we have competition,” says Norberg.

Sweden switched to a school voucher system. That allows parents to pick their kids’ school and forced schools to compete for the voucher money.

“One result that we’ve seen is not just that the private schools are better,” says Norberg, “but even public schools in the vicinity of private schools often improve, because they have to.”

Sweden also partially privatized its retirement system. In America, the Cato Institute proposed something similar. President George W. Bush supported the idea but didn’t explain it well. He dropped the idea when politicians complained that privatizing Social Security scared voters.

Second, the true, effective marginal tax rate in America during the 1950s and 1960s was never even close to 90% or even 70% because the tax code was structured so differently. Matt Palumbo examined this issue early last year:

As everyone that has filed taxes knows, the marginal tax bracket they fall into isn’t the effective tax rate you pay, because of deductions, and other factors. In the past, the tax code was ridden with loopholes.

When the Revenue Act of 1935 was passed, raising the top income tax bracket to 75%, literally only one person paid it; John D. Rockefeller.

It is true that we did use to have massively high marginal tax rates, but it was never the case that we had high effective marginal tax rates. Nor are the top rates comparable of the past comparable in the levels of income they affect. The new top income tax rate for households of 37 percent kicks in at $315,001 of income. The 91% rate in 1955 kicked in at an inflation adjusted $3.5 million in todays income.

As you can see in this chart from the Congressional Research Servicethe top effective income tax rate in America has never exceeded 30 percent.

If we isolate just the much-maligned top 1% of income earners, their tax rate is less than 6 percentage points lower today than what it averaged in the 1950s. A decline for sure, but hardly the 60-or-so percentage point decline claimed.

Nor has the government been starved of revenue in light of the decline of marginal tax rates – because it’s the effective rate that matters.

Third, as David Burge (aka Iowahawk) and Bill Whittle reminded us in 2011, when Leftists assured us that we could fulfill all Progressive government dreams just by squeezing the “fair share” out of the rich, that won’t work – and even if we could make it work, it is, at best, a one-time, short-term solution. Moreover, as the alert viewer will notice, the pretend appropriation plan that Burge crafted and Whittle explains works only if you drain money from billionaires twice – once as people earning more than $250,000 annually and a second time as members of a unique class known as billionaires:

I’m incredibly grateful that today’s crop of hard Left politicians is being open about its dream of expanding government by taxing the heck out of everything and everybody. That honesty allows us to point out that (a) they’re planning to turn us into Venezuela, not Sweden; (b) they’re either ill-informed or lying when they claim that we’ve been taxed this much before; and (c) these types of high confiscatory taxes work once – and then the producers are unwilling or unable to produce the revenue to carry those socialized programs.

As I like to remind anyone who will listen, the only reason soft socialized programs worked in Europe as long as they did (that is, people got cradle-to-crave care without work camps and long lines) was because America was paying for it. It was America that paid for defense costs during and after the Cold War.

Indeed, the Whittle/Burge video reminds us that by 2011, Brits were rioting because their system was collapsing. Now the French are rioting. The Greeks have already rioted.

Moreover, for decades now, and with increasing speed since 2015, European leaders thought they could prime the diminished European economic pump by importing labor – only to discover that Muslims don’t labor for nobody, no how. Instead, they arrived expecting the Europeans to labor for them.

So, as we look at once beautiful Europe, we wave good-bye to warm and cuddly cradle-to-grave socialism. Instead, we say hello to the two Europe’s only two choices: Remake the economy as Sweden did (only minus the continued damaging influx of illiterate people who hate Europeans and refuse to work for them) or turn into Venezuela.

My suggestion for America is that we stick with Trump’s economic model – capitalism. It’s better that way. Also, another suggestion: Take these young Progressive politicians very seriously. They’re uninformed and their ideology is evil, but they’re photogenic, smart in the ways of social media, and both the old and the new media world will pour all of their energy into elevating them and their ideas. Ridiculing them is fun, but only by challenging their pernicious, evil ideas, can we defeat them.

Sweden Faces The Abyss; National Police Head Begs For Help

Sweden’s National Police Commissioner, Dan Eliasson, recently spoke on national television and shocked his fellow Swedes by pleading for assistance. “Help us, help us!,” he said, while warning that Swedish police forces no longer can uphold the law and therefore must ask all “good powers” in the country to support them. Sweden faces the abyss of lawlessness and perhaps even a defacto civil war.

Commissioner Eliasson’s remarks reflect a shocking change for the worse in what used to be one of Europe’s most peaceful and law abiding countries.

A leaked report concluded that the number of “no-go zones”) in Sweden now totals 61, up from 55 in just one year’s time. This increase represents not only the total number, but also the geographical size of these areas. The Swedish authorities themselves refer to these areas as utenforskap, which roughly translates as ‘excluded areas.’ What it amounts to is that Muslim gangs are carving out territory for themselves where they’re the ones in control, not the Swedish authorities.

Image result for Muslim no go areas in Sweden

Police chief Lars Alversjø says that, “There is lawlessness in parts of Stockholm now.” He also said, “The legal system, which is a pillar in every democratic society, is collapsing in Sweden.”

One interesting sign of this is a shocking rise of female genital mutilation (FGM), unheard of in Sweden until recently. A new report partly written by SVT, the Swedish state media, reported that at least 150,000 women in Sweden have experienced genital mutilation. This procedure can involve partial or complete removal of the clitoris (i.e., clitoridectomy, clitorectomy or infibulation) plus excision of the labia as well. All too often, this operation is performed on pre teen girls as young as 4 or 5 years old by people who are not licensed medial practitioners in unsterile conditions, and without anesthesia. The actual numbers of women living in Sweden who have experienced FGM may be far higher.

In 2015, there was a report that something like “only” 38,000 women had experienced genital mutilation. The new report shows how this has skyrocketed, even though it is illegal in Sweden.

Sexual assaults have increased as well. New data from Sweden’s national bureau for statistics, BRÅ says that 3,430 rapes was reported the first six months of 2017, up 14 percent compared to the previous half-year. In all, 9,680 sexual crimes was committed from January to June. According to a BRÅ report from 2013,only 23 percent of sexual crimes in Sweden are reported, which means that we can extrapolate the real number of sexual crimes the last six months in Sweden amounts to around 42,000.

 Related image

According to statistics,92 percent of all severe rapes (violent rapes) are committed by migrants and refugees. 100 percent of all attack rapes (where victim and attacker had no previous contact) are committed by that same group. The countries of origin for the refugees who committed those rapes, in order of the number of perpetrators are Afghanistan, Somalia, Eritrea, Syria, Gambia, Iran, Palestine, and Kosovo. Migrants and refugees from Afghanistan are79 times more likely to commit rape than Swedes.

Another indication of how badly things are going are the efforts by Sweden’s Left wing government to hide them. Being critical of Islam, the Swedish government’s refugee policies or how individual members of the government are handling this crisis can get you a hefty fine, or in some cases even a jail sentence…or both.

But things are progressing to th epoint where is getting harder and harder to hide what’s going on.

Magnus Ranstorp is a researcher into terrorism and radicalization at the Swedish National Defense College.  Writing about the current situation in Sweden, he noted,  “In the worst areas, extremists have taken over. The whole sense of justice and peace are threatened by the fact that the police is breaking down and it’s only getting worse. Sweden is in a disastrous situation”

2011 recipient of Sweden’s Order of the Seraphim medal, Johan Patrik Engellau, a research expert regarding destabilized countries, has been working with organizations such as the UN and others that operate in crisis areas. His take oin this is interesting as well, especially in view of thinking of Sweden as a ‘crisis area.’

“I’m afraid it is the end for the well-organized, decent, and egalitarian Sweden we have known up to now. Personally, I would not be surprised if a form of civil war occurs. In some places, the civil war has probably already begun.”

“The government does not seem to understand that it has lost control. There is a point where you can no longer stop a situation’s development. I do not know if Sweden has reached this point when it comes to the consequences of immigration, but I fear we are drawing close. If we right here and now take and clear and powerful action – including stopping immigration and the political promotion of multiculturalism – we might with some difficulty be able to save Sweden.”

Difficulty might just be the word for it. Sweden’s entire regular military consists of under 10,000 men in all branches of service, army, air force and navy. They have perhaps as many as reserves. The Hemvärnet, a sort of part time home guard has perhaps another 14,000.

There ar4e questions, even from within Sweden as to whether that’s enough military to defend Sweden, especially from a homeland insurrection. Lt. Col. Johan Wiktorin (ret.), a leading Swedish security consultant has been quite vocal about saying that Sweden’s military is “simply too small to defend its territory.” And remember, while Col. Wiktorin is thinking in terms of Russia, what we’re talking about here is controlling an area of 170,000 square miles in a conflict that would include urban warfare, only using Sweden’s land forces. And it’s also worth remembering that this kind of conflict is one in which a number of Sweden’s ‘guests’ have experience in places like Syria and Iraq.

So Sweden faces the abyss, whether its government wants to acknowledge it or not. What happens next? We’ll see.

Sweden’s Clueless Government Puzzled Over ‘Rise In Islamic Extremism’

Sweden’s clueless government is puzzled as to what could possibly be behind sharply rising Islamic ‘extremism’ in their country.

As the AP reported, Sweden’s security service SAPO says the number of people in Sweden with extremist views has grown to several thousands,” mainly among people with sympathies for radical Islam.”

(Remember, if you’re unhappy about a once peaceful country being overrun by third world migrants with violent tendencies and the accompanying high crime rate and say so openly, SWAPO considers you an ‘extremist’)

SWAPO’ss head, Anders Thornberg, says “we have never seen anything like it” and blames propaganda from ISIS for the increase.

Of course, it couldn’t be that just as ISIS said, they infiltrated the ‘refugee’ population, now could it?

He says the figure was in the hundreds a few years ago. Since he admitted that the figure was 2,000 five years ago, that ‘hundreds’ figure must have come from when Sweden was just starting to import Muslim migrants enmasse to their country.

Thornberg told Sweden’s news agency TT Friday that SAPO gets about 6,000 pieces of intelligence every month. Of course,he didn’t go into specifics. Why, the man has a job and a pension to protect!

The last major jihad attack in Sweden happened April 7,2017 when the jihadi driver of stolen truck killed five pedestrians and injured 14 in central Stockholm. But there have been plenty of smaller incidents the media does its best to keep under the radar.

Just this last week, Swedish police in the city of Trollhattan were attacked by up to a hundred masked migrant ‘youths’ armed with sticks and bats during a riot in the Kronogården suburb.

The migrant mob of ‘youths’ attacked the officers during the second night of rioting in the area. They also attacked the police cars, smashing windows and slashing the tires on two of them. According to the Swedish paper Aftonbladet only one man was arrested in connection with the riots.

Aside from the usual Ramadan activities, there are a number of reasons being given for the rioot. The spark point was when several ‘youths’ attempted to start a tire fire in the middle of the street and then attacked a security guard who tried to to put out the fire with rocks and bottles.

Peter Asp, the communications officer for the City of Trollhattan, said the riots were “power struggle for territory in the district” among rival gangs. Unlike Swedish media or the police, he was open about referring to the rioters as Somali migrants. Careful,Herr Asp!

One Swedish police official who went public, Peter Springare, said that migrants were committing a disproportionate amount of crime in his city, and that almost all of the serious criminal cases that came across his desk involved migrants. For that kind of honesty, he was investigated for “racial hatred”, although the charges were later dropped.

There was also an incident earlier in the week, when children were taken away from their parents by the local child protective services after an administrative court ruled that the parents of the children had physically and psychologically assaulted them. Female Genital Mutilation, perhaps? In Sweden, the practice is to keep quiet about such things.

Another things the Swedish government wants keep quiet is the growing number (and accompanying violence) of ‘no go’ areas in the country. A leaked report earlier this week showed that the number of no-go zones had increased by fifty percent in only two years.

While the report lists 23 official “vulnerable areas” some estimates are that there could be as many as 55 no-go zones in Sweden, predominately Muslim areas in Sweden’s cities. It depends on who’s counting. And why, of course. The Swedish government refers to areas as “areas the police have experienced difficulties fulfilling their duties.”

Here’s what happens when ‘infidels’  trespass into Dar Islam, in this case the Stockholm suburb of Rinkeby:

Rapes and sexual assaults on Swedish women are increasingly common since Sweden began the wholesale importation of Muslim migrants, one of the largest importations per capita in Europe. In many Swedish cities, women with red or blonde hair have taken to dying it black and wearing head coverings to avoid harassment.

Rape and sexual assaults used to be rare in Sweden. But in a recent survey published by the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention, thirty-one percent of Swedish woman said they feel unsafe going out at night even in their own neighborhoods. That statistic is astounding for a country like Sweden, where such crimes were almost unknown before the migrants were imported wholesale.

One recent gang rape involving a Swedish woman and three Muslim migrants (one had Swedish citizenship) was streamed on the internet for over three hours via a private Facebook group. The woman’s ordeal finally ended when people reported the rape to the police and they stormed the apartment. The perpetrators actually had the nerve to claim the sex was consensual in spite of the clear evidence on the video and the woman’s condition when she was found by the police.  Yes, they  were prosecuted, but the sentence they were given was laughable…Reza Mohammed Ahmadi, 21, was jailed for two years and four months for rape and accessory to rape, while Maysam Afshar, 18, was sentenced to one year in prison for rape. Both are Afghanis living in Sweden.  Emil Khodagholi, a 21-year-old Swedish Muslim citizen, was jailed for six months for aggravated defamation for posting the rape on Facebook and failing to report it. Nothing at all was said about deporting the two Afghanis, and after they finish what will almost certainly be reduced sentences in Sweden’s boutique, comfortable prisons, they’ll be freed and out on the streets again.

Sweden’s train stations in certain areas have also become known as dangerous areas, particularly for women.

Is all of Sweden some kind of crime ridden hell hole? No. But every year, the toll of the enforced multiculturalism grows, more no go areas come into existence, crime becomes more endemic and the financial cost of supporting these ‘refugees’ gets higher and higher. Things are even at the point where native Swedes are being kicked out of their homes to make room for the increasing tide migrants.

The majority of these migrants come to Sweden precisely because of the generous social welfare benefits they’re entitled to. That includes subsidized food, housing, education, generous cash stipends, healthcare and a great number of other goodies. If you were living in say, Somalia, Eritrea or Libya, why wouldn’t you try to get to Sweden or Germany, where the living is free and easy? There’s a good reason the vast majority of these migrants remain on welfare.

What we have here is a country committing slow suicide, if the current trend continues.

[VIDEO] When it comes to the media and dead children, some children are more equal than others

Two British journalists speak bluntly about the fact that our media is forcing us to care more about the enemy’s dead children than about our own.

Paul Joseph Watson, who should have a bigger, better, less conspiracy-oriented venue than Alex Jones’ InfoWars, has published his most recent video, this time about what’s happening in Sweden. I agree with him completely on every point. The Swedes have self-righteously, condescendingly, and superciliously cultivated dangerous people and I don’t have much sympathy for them. They are living proof of Darwinism in action when it comes to nations too arrogant to have any sense of self-preservation.

Except . . . except that I’m terribly sorry about Ebba Akerlund, the little girl who died. The sad reality of evil people and their evil actions is that children are always the most vulnerable. I’ve talked about this before in the context of just wars against tyranny, such as the war against Nazi Germany (we definitely killed children with our bombs) or the hypothetical children who would inevitably die if we were to engage in a just war against ISIS. (By the way, I’m not advocating a direct war against ISIS. The Middle East is a morass that sucks everyone in. I’m speaking in hypothetical terms.)

The MSM would have you believe that it cares about children but it doesn’t, not really. I’ve always known this at a sort of subliminal level. Paul Joseph Watson, at 2:15 in the following video, puts his finger on the actual fact that proves that, to the MSM, not all children are equal. The dead children that have worth are those that advance a political cause (always a Leftist one). The rest? Meh.

Coincidentally, Allison Pearson, another fed-up Brit, made preciously the same point yesterday about the media and dead children:

I’m sorry if I sound bitter, but it becomes harder and harder to ward off cynicism when each terrorist attack in Western Europe meets with the same dishonest and evasive response.

The first thing that happens just after a massacre (a word that is never ever used, please note) is the gore and the brutality are played down. We are allowed to look upon gassed twins in Syria, their lovely faces growing pinched and waxen in their father’s arms, but a curtain must be drawn over the maimed bodies of our own victims.

As swiftly as is feasible, once they have removed the corpses and power-hosed the blood, attention turns to feelgood stories of heroism and survival. The passive tense is adopted in news reports. French teenagers deliberately mown down by a car travelling at 76mph on the pavement of Westminster Bridge are “caught up in the violence”. Exactly like that 11-year-old girl in Stockholm
Except she wasn’t “caught up in the violence”, was she? The poor child was murdered in broad daylight on a main street of the capital city of a country that has done more than any other to welcome Muslim asylum seekers by a failed Muslim asylum seeker.

Quite by accident, I saw pictures of the Stockholm carnage. Lying in the middle of the road, a woman had been severed from her leg, which lay a few feet away. Gut-wrenching butchery. In another shot, a dog lay dead on the pavement; nearby was all that was left of a human being.

The pictures fill you with absolute horror. They make you cry out: “How the hell has this been allowed to happen?” That’s why we’re not allowed to see them. In case we get angry. Look away, please! It’s time for another vigil, time to light some candles, time for a politician to put on a resolute face and say: “The terrorists will never divide us.”

We are being lied to and manipulated when the media hides from us the horror of the enemies’ actions against our children and inundates us with images of the enemy’s children. All dead children are a terrible tragedy but in a sane world, we should be caring more about our own dead children than about the enemy’s.

Re-Integration Program to provide ISIS Jihadists returning to Sweden Housing, Jobs & Financial Benefits.

The Swedish government is looking for a way to convince ISIS jihadists returning home to turn over a new leaf [my emphasis]. Really.

Sweden, like their European neighbors opened their borders to the ideologically demented whose objective is to slaughter the infidel and smear their blood throughout the streets of Europe to fulfill a prophecy, i.e., the return of the Mahdi.

Ignorant to watch drives jihad, at the same time that a terrorist (no doubt Muslim) rams a truck into a department store in Stockholm, Sweden comes the announcement that the town of Lund through a re-integration program will pay a jizyah tax offer Islamic State jihadists returning home an education, financial benefits, housing, etc. (also known as welfare). ISIS defectors would receive the same benefits.

Independent.co.uk by Lizzie Dearden

Local authority says jihadis will be treated similarly to criminals and neo-Nazis

Yeah, right. Let’s see how that works. It won’t.

Lock up jihadists returning home with the prison population to recruit and radicalize. How smart is that?

This re-integration program is Sweden waving the white flag long before the jihadists touch down on European soil.

A programme to rehabilitate former Isis fighters and other extremists with housing, employment, education and financial support is being trialled in Sweden.

Anna Sjöstrand, the municipal coordinator against violent extremism, acknowledged the proposals were controversial but argued that the same approach should be taken to Isis defectors as to those leaving organised crime and neo-Nazi groups.

“When this subject came up we thought: ‘Oh god, how should we handle this’,” she told national broadcaster Sveriges Radio.

“Pretty quickly we realized that we should deal with this in the same way.

“If you have committed a criminal act should take responsibility for it, but there are many aspects – one could for example look at it in terms of cost.

“It is much cheaper to reintegrate a person into society than to abandon them, for example.”

Christoffer Carlsson, a criminologist, said he supported the plans after conducting a report on extremist defectors for the Swedish government[…]

And this too shall fail.

The cities of Malmö, Borlänge and Örebro who are overrun by Muslim migrants, far too many of whom are radical and raising hell are implementing the same program.

Political correctness is suicide which goes hand in hand with fearing to call one’s enemy by its name, i.e., ISLAMIC TERRORISM.

Alice Bah Kuhnke, Minister for Culture and Democracy-Sweden

Alice Bah Kuhnke, Swedish Minister for Culture and Democracy is pushing the program and believes that jihadists returning to Sweden should first investigated on “suspicions of crimes…And any such crimes should be punished. But after that we need structures locally, such as social services, around our country to integrate them back into our democratic society.”

Express.co.uk by Lizzie Stromme

Appearing on television programme Agenda, Ms Kuhnke was also challenged on how many of the jihadi fighters had been de-radicalised upon their return to the European nation.

She said: “No one knows.”

She was then asked about how many people had been given support to integrate back into society, to which the government minister said: “About 10, 20, 30 people have been supported by our municipalities. That is too few.

“We must cooperate much better. Police, the social services and Säpo have to work together. There are many municipalities which don’t even know who is responsible.”

Kuhnke is full of crap and the Swedish government, like their European neighbors and traitors here in the United States have turned their backs on their citizens.
