When political parties lose big they re-examine their leadership, direction, messaging, and weigh how to stop losing. The Democratic Party, has been losing, and losing big ever since the 2010 midterm elections. They have lost the House, the Senate, suffered massive losses in state legislatures across the nation, and Republicans own a significant majority of governorships. And, in 2016, the Democrats lost the biggest prize, the White House. So, now the Democrats are looking at how they got here. And, seemingly, they have decided to go even further leftwards rather than understanding that their ideals and their rhetoric have turned off most American voters.
We can argue about how many voters identify as Conservative, or Liberal, but one thing is clear, most of us are not Leftists, and, to be honest the Democratic Party is now a leftist party. Worse yet for them, they have chosen to show Americans just how left their party has gone.
They have openly embraced and defended radical groups like Black Lives Matter
